Keller Williams vs Expedia
Hey y'all, I am anticipating to receive Software Engineer position offer from Keller williams and Expedia. Can someone share some thoughts on which would be better or what would you select and why? I am not sure of compensation, but the followings are the concerns/ thoughts 1. Job stability - kwri seems better. expedia did few layoffs recently, it might be stable given the vaccine distribution and decline in covid cases. Will there be anymore layoffs in Expedia? 2. GC processing - kwri would be doing after 2 years. Not sure about expedia 3. Compensation - feel like expedia would be better with stock options and sign on bonus than kwri 4. Location - Austin, TX Any thoughts?
Expedia will do GC processing Day 1. Just negotiate with recruiter beforehand. I feel the company is stable, stability in Expedia is determined by the team you are going to join. If you can add the org, it would be helpful. I don’t think there are going to be more layoffs, that’s my personal opinion.
Fyi, no "options" anymore, just RSUs. VrBO is the hot business at the moment......dont know much about keller williams but between a traditional RE broker and us, I would lean towards us....
I never worked with Expedia group. Keller Williams GC initiation is delayed. Company is hiring and is in good stands. Real estate market is hot and we are in the process of becoming a more tech company and modernizing our tech.

I worked at HomeAway for 1.5 years. Fun place, they really took care.of their people, reminds me of a country club. Work was easy.
