NYT doesn’t like Biden press avoidance

The president occupies the most important office in our nation, and the press plays a vital role in providing insights into his thinking and worldview, allowing the public to assess his record and hold him to account. Mr. Biden has granted far fewer press conferences and sit-down interviews with independent journalists than virtually all of his predecessors. It is true that The Times has sought an on-the-record interview with Mr. Biden, as it has done with all presidents going back more than a century. If the president chooses not to sit down with The Times because he dislikes our independent coverage, that is his right, and we will continue to cover him fully and fairly either way.

Last years cnn town hall with Trump, about one hour. ask Biden to do it for 10 mins with Foxnews and I’m sure their team will be afraid of doing it.
This is where liberals fail to understand Trump's appeal to conservatives. For the longest time, some random made up accusation of racism was enough to make the conservative politicians lose their spine and cower. Trump not only met these accusations head on, he usually enjoys the mud slinging and retaliates with something even more batshit crazy. You gotta admit it's funny and very effective.
Ask Trump to participate in GOP debates and I’m sure their team will be afraid of doing it. It’s not funny and effective to constantly provoke, manipulate, and flip-flop to earn love of rednecks.
Trump likes to seek out and be in the news, Biden does not. Trump has left a bad precedent of overexposing presidential actions in an unorganized way through his tweets and adhoc news interviews with right leaning outlets. Thats why when Biden is doing what a normal presidency looks like, with organized press releases, you are finding it odd that he is not signing up for X or Y interviews.

I read the NYT Sunday paper. I have for years. The reality is that the NYT is far left. Anyone who actually reads it would understand that it’s not balanced media. They wear bias on their sleeves. I am a personally moderate/libertarian-ish. The NYT is literally obsessed with DJT. There are always whiny reporters who go on emotionally charged & deranged opinion pieces. How he’s ruining this country, etc. All while not realizing the obvious irony & cognitive dissonance, of supporting a senile, incompetent and deeply inept Biden presidency. The left has insulated Biden and ignored a plethora of horrible policy measures, because they’re terrified of another DJT presidency. They allow Biden to get hand fed, softball questions. The best thing they could have done was sponsor another Democratic candidate 6 months ago. It’s way too late now.
Let’s say the quiet part out loud: Biden has severe mental decline and physically cannot do press conferences and such without revealing this fact and ruining his reelection hopes. This isn’t a republican or democrat talking point. It’s clear as day observation to anyone who isn’t locked up in an ideological echo chamber.
