Has anyone hired a full or part time personal chef as an Indian? I’ve been looking and most I find wouldn’t be able to make the food we like with spices and herbs. Doesn’t have to be Indian food everyday but can’t be bland either. And the ones of Indian background are generally older parents of folks who can only cook the food from one part of the country. Any leads? I’m in central Texas. I eat everything but the spouse is vegetarian.
Hi welcome to America, while it may be possible to own various slaves on a Dell salary in India, in Austin, TX this is not possible. Enjoy your stay!
I’m sorry if that’s how you felt. My spouse and I both have a very hectic schedule at work and my goal with this to maximize the time we get with our kids during evenings and weekends. Lately, I’m not seeing the point of double income household if our evenings and weekends go doing all the chores.. or we end up eating unhealthy stuff from restaurants.
Hello American, sorry you think so lowly of the service industry, but we’re paying our workers. Don’t bring your trauma baggage everywhere
I tried a personal chef and it was great. The chef was able to create a weekly menu based on our taste as well as introducing us to other cuisines. We started loving Mediterranean a lot through this experiment. I would highly recommend this. The only downside was the high cost
I love it. Where was this and how much did it cost?
Get an au pair from India and pay extra to have the au pair cook.
We considered it but didn’t feel comfortable with someone living with us. But we’ll explore it again.
They don't HAVE to live with you. You can get an ADU built or rent one for the au pair. That plus the extra cash would be a huge win and many will take the money and not complain. Plus they get more privacy out of the deal so what's the downside?
No I'm an adult and know how to feed myself.
