Whats the best-case scenario of protesting the Palestine/Israel conflict here in the US? Can someone outline what steps this will lead to that resolves this foreign conflict?
That the USA realizes how badly it needs reforms in higher education and immigration. There’s a big, big difference between wanting a ceasefire or peace agreement and thinking it’s okay to stab a random Jewish student in the eye as a way of expressing that view.
And yet, the day after she was being interviewed with no injuries whatsoever. Besides a lot of Jewish students are part of the protesters.
That USA will keep a list of these violent criminals and deport them
There are part of the Israeli government. I’m sure that compiling a list of names should not be very complicated
The pro palestine riots in the US are basically organised by Hamas
Nope, they are not. I’m sure it doesn’t fit your bigotry but a lot of Jewish students are part of the protesters.
They are called useful idiots… And here is a peaceful protest promoting positive energy and love
Best outcome is US stop funding Israel and their military with our tax money.
There are 2 real possibilities for a permanent settlements, both will be challenging but will succeed eventually because it’s how every colonial project ended up settling in the end: - a Palestinian state on 1967 border (everyone knows what it is although Israel keeps pretending to be confused) - a single democratic secular state Israel is preventing both options with its continued hasbara, victim card, and political gymnastics that have stopped working on most of the world population today. The world is clear that it wants to see a permanent settlement now that allows the rest of it to move on with economic growth and prosperity including in the middle east. I personally think that Israel will not budge on a settlement and that would only result in a brutal war that puts Israel’s civilized existence and the rest of the region at a big risk. The uprisings/protests in the US will force Israeli support to stop being a bipartisan position in congress imo maybe not fully now but in the soon future. That would not mean a direct resolution of the conflict but it will rapidly bridge the gap on power dynamics between Israel on one side and Iran/Turkey on another. Turkey is a NATO member so imagine what a world like that would mean to NATO and Russian/Chinese influence over Europe. Pakistan may also join Iran & Turkey and it’s a nuclear power. People are thinking Netanyahu is playing with their stock but he’s actually playing with our ability to have access to human livable temperature and oxygen. It’s been 75 years and we’re beyond the boiling point, it’s uncharted territory so let’s wish for the best.
You are so sweet for thinking that hamas or Palestinian for that matter are interested in your 2 solutions…. They have only one solution, the annihilation of Israel and all Jewish citizens… I think that after October 7 we can all agree that Israel will probably never agree to anything until hostages have been released
Drop the hasbara, speak common sense unless if you want your own gang upvoting what you say, then go on you guys have fun
That people wake up and use their critical thinking skills. Understand that they are being influenced so easily and if you don’t value democracy then move to the Middle East and see for yourself.
