160k in Raleigh at a chill company >>> 300K in Sunnyvale with Amazon

Rokt leibh Apr 30

Servicenow is a pretty good company while probably Amazon is the worst of all. Try to increase the comp at Servicenow and join them

LexisNexis jaadu7 OP May 1

they ate not. tried too hard

Rokt leibh May 1

Just join servicenow if you're looking for a long term job. If you want to job hop, you can survive Amazon for a year or two and make more money

Capital One vJqx54 Apr 30

Senior software engineer is not a IC6. Not with that TC.

KLA-Tencor Orap83 Apr 30

Can you share interview tips ? Did you apply with referral at Servicenow ?

LexisNexis jaadu7 OP May 1

no, contacted recruiter on linkedin

ServiceNow snwwew2 Apr 30

Highly recommend ServiceNow. Negotiate higher and join.

ServiceNow . . May 1

Senior Software Engineer is IC3 in ServiceNow. Not iC6.

That service now offer sucks asshole. I know they are competitive with our pay and I’m a mid level dev with 170k base in Bay Area. Senior should be higher Even with my $250k TC most of it is getting wiped out by my $4k rent and astronomical expenses Edit: nvm saw that snow has title inflation

ServiceNow gggf May 3

Senior is just 2-3 yoe

Amazon isnxndjj May 1

You have 100k increase on your salary with AWS, deducting state tax and comparing 1bhk rent. Don't expect good wlb with amazon otherwise aws is good offer.

Amazon justdoittt May 1

There’s no way that’s a senior offer at servicenow, that is obscenely low
