I was going to sell my RSU when it vested on 4/15, but then dragged on till now as the stock price went down (172 to 169). Starting from tmr I am getting the Wealthfront 6% API promotion for 3 months, wonder if I should sell those recently vested stock at slight loss and put the cash in Wealthfront for 3 months and then invest in ETF. Additional question, which ETF do you usually invest in? Considering SMH, VGY, VTI, VOO or QQQ
Bruh - I love 6% API (APY) 😀
If not putting in stocks, 5% T-bills > 6% HYSA since no state tax
How did you get 6%???? That's damn good!
Aapl - 175 now
Thank you for suggesting, is this how you invest majority of your assets?
Interesting concept. I like it’d but hard to give up the 3% Robinhood IRA bonuses. Maybe for my personal folio?
If a decision has been made to rebalance into Wealthfront, I'd rather sell at a loss than at a gain.
When you do such a thing, I assume you gotta pay capital gains tax?
Too much hassle for 1.5%
Why are you tripping about -1.7% lol. Sounds like risk makes you uneasy, so yeah maybe sell it and put it in ETF. Also, It’s an annualized return rate so might as well put it in an ETF. The short term interest payments you get will be negligible in the long term.
Ha 6% just seems pretty awesome. But maybe you’re right, long term wise it might make more sense to just put it in ETF
You know it’s 6% per year, annualized for those 3 months, right? It’s not 6% in 3 months on the total amount you deposit
