If my company offered a sign on bonus (it’s in my offer letter i signed) that was stated to be issued my first paycheck … but didn’t end up giving it to me (they said there was a mistake). They said it will be on my next pay. I now have to wait 2 weeks. Since they messed up do I still have to work for the next 2 weeks? It is basically a condition of my employment working there yet they have delayed it. What should I do? It was 25k and I depended on that money to relocate for the job, now I have bills piling up the next 2 weeks ugh
You make enough to get a 25k sign on, but you live so hand to mouth that you're in trouble getting it a month late? Wow, that's some interesting financial skills.
relocating internationally was not cheap sherlock
U can ask them to pay 5% interest for the delay.
If i were you i would go to the hr office , shit on their desk and then grab some of that shit and smear it all over their monitor and some on the wall as well. I would make sure to rub it on the doorknobs as well.
Damn you like to play with your own 💩 🤣
Ask for a delay bonus!
Hey this happened to me. Basically I just threw a tantrum, didn’t work for 2 weeks, and it got escalated to the CEO. I no longer have a job nor the 25k but at least living on the streets during summer time isn’t bad
I would simply not work and see how the capitalist system will take good care of you. That will be a valuable life lesson in that nobody gives a fuck about your poor financial choices
This type of mistake is not acceptable, send them resignation letter
Your sign-on bonus is a bonus so not your paycheck so, yes, you still need to work for the next 2 weeks. Sign-on bonuses typically have a contigency that you have to be employed for at least 6 months so, not worth it to risk being canned after 2 weeks over a delay.
You should file a war crimes allegation with the UN high command
on it
Yes you're entitled to damages. I would contact a lawyer immediately.
