Our school is asking us to bring flowers on Monday, coffee on Tuesday, a drawing on Wednesday, cookies on Thursday and finally gift cards on Fridays. It seems they are not aware we have jobs and a million other things to think about. Yes I appreciate all the hard work teachers do but forcing parents to remember to bring a specific thing every single day of the week is torture. Is it this way in your school?
This is absurd. Just drop off a $25 gift card to Peets like every other parent.
Yes it’s the same for us and everywhere else. Look they deal with our kids all day, this is the least we can do.
We are just giving our teachers an Amazon gift card as that seems to be what is commonly suggested in teacher subs
At my kids school, one day in the week is dedicated to 'spa item' gift! WTH!
Same! Just gift bath bombs.
I buy them lottery tickets
I ignore this and give cash
While it's capitalism driven, the intent is great. We have to do it for multiple kids in our house. The idea is to foster gratitude, appreciation every single day and in different forms. I know you are busy, but it takes a few mins to drop by nearest store. Other than the gift card, all other things can be made at home. If you have flowers in your backyard or community, you can just give those.
Just give them cash. They will appreciate more than all this crap
How much?
Most teachers would prefer cash
And they'll still need to end up using it on their students.
