With the new delivery prices on Uber Eats and DoorDash, should we still tip delivery drivers? It looks like they get paid well now by default and the prices are crazy. Do I still have to tip? TC: 180k
Haven’t used delivery apps in years. I just call the restaurant and pickup the food myself whenever I am craving restaurant food.
Don't encourage tipping. They become too entitled
For context, are you from Seattle area with the crap regulatory response charge with every single order?
I only tip SWEs who release apps with “buy me a coffee” option. Everybody else can get bent
In asia you are not expected to tip. In america after you tip a scummy deliveryperson leaves your food in the rain.
In America these days you are expected to tip everywhere. Even in grocery stores, convenience stores, etc. absolutely anywhere you make a purchase.
What's the new delivery price? Have they increased it throughout the country or specific locations?
No need to tip on DoorDash or Uber Eats if you are on H-1B. When you get your GC, you can start tipping if you feel like it.
I consider the inflated service fees to be the tip. If I order a $13 item and am being charged $20 after fees, Uber Eats can afford to pay the delivery driver.
No tipping in pick up orders, but tipping for delivery order up to a limit. I don’t see extra work needed for delivering 100 sushi vs. 40 korean food
Who the F tips for pickup for you to mention no to pickup tips?
