Renting since the time I have started earning. Financially irresponsible but the freedom to move around has made it totally worth it.
Sooo good!! Same here.
Nothing massive, but I’ve always been okay with yoloing on experiences that are somewhat hedonistic because life is short: - Bought myself a 75 inch QLED tv a few years ago because we spend so much time watching stuff - Upgraded my wife and I to Delta One on our NRT-SEA flight the day before for $800 each. Soooo worth it - $800 per person omakase when my friend couldn’t make his reservation on the day of. Amazing meal - Booked a literal day trip to Vegas in December last year to maintain my airline status, just myself. Decided to ball out and spend like $750 on fancy caviar and a seafood lunch and snacks, and then bought my wife a $3k designer bag and brought it home to her because I knew it would make her happy What’s the point of having higher than average TC if you’re not going to enjoy life a bit while you’re young? My wife and I will put a combined $200k away this year towards retirement. We’re 31 years old. That’s more than 99% of Americans our age make in a year. Fuck it, we’re gonna treat ourselves every now and then
Vacation homes, boats, cars, and a lot of travel with a big group. Charities if you could that as irresponsible.
If something's worth it in the long run, then it can't be financially irresponsible.
Does spending $10k in interior design count? I hate looking at ugly things
Long ago, I YOLO’d an out of state triplex without any RE experience, $150k cash. It worked out in the end. $2100/mo for almost auto pilot business. The property already doubled in value.
Lol, not the point at all unless you are now taking 2100 a month or Vegas and buying a half a bottle in a club each month
Damn, what were you thinking, that's crazy irresponsible
