Virtual onsite at Meta
Target E5 VO Coding - solved both optimally, all tagged&high freq questions BQ - chatted less than 30 min and interviewer said enough signal collected Design - pretty generic SD, feedback was "very solid" onsite Got rejected a few days after. Comment was SD and BQ not meeting E5 bar Recruiter was hinting that my packet didn't even go through HC. Not sure where went wrong. Any ideas? YOE 7 TC ~230K
you cant really trust what they say. some recruiters will lie, some are truthful. think about your SD performance, did you feel like it went bad?
SD performance should be at least H if not SH. Unsure about BQ
Solved both the question optimally in log n explained and covered all cases and got rejected. I Also also ran through test case. I was surprised.

Seems BQ, 30 mins seems too short. Do you think you mentioned any red flags unintentionally? Like blaming (or mentioning) someone for a mistake
Not that I am aware of. In fact no questions were set up this way in my BQ. Questions are standard with little to none traps.
Did you give level specific answers to BQ?
Yeah my guess is also behavioural; for E5 they are looking for E5 stories: impact, ownership, leading team, etc.
