I am interviewing for a position at Twilio and wondering what anyone there thinks. I believe it’s some team called Compliance. What is the WLB like?
WLB is good. But currently lot of uncertainty about product roadmap and how to attain profitability.
are you interviewing for a PM role ?
Yeah
Heavy cost cutting mode. There were massive layoffs in the past and more recently targeted layoffs. Most of the engage product got chopped of. You have been warned.
Yeah my fear is the numerous layoffs y’all have had
Compliance has been a notorious shitstorm.
Run away, not walk. Seriously.
I’ll be leaving when I find the right opportunity. In the meantime, if they laid me off it would sort of be a relief. With all the layoffs and the non-stop black cloud of more to follow, it’s hard to focus… been this way for over a year.

Run as far as you can. Compliance is a bad team Worst
Why is it bad ? What’s a better team
Engineering managers in Compliance are fundamentally bad people.
