Currently L4, interviewed for a P5 FE role. Got green light from HC 2 weeks ago. Matched with 2 teams so far JSM (knowledge & search) and issue create & view team (this is a new team being setup in India) Which team should I join out of these or any other better team if available? Also suggest what should be the TC range for P50 to avoid getting lowballed. Blind tax (Current comp) YOE - 9 TC - 70L (45L / 4L / 21L Stocks) Recruiter said offer from Atlassian will be post choosing the team Edit - Offered TC : 1 Cr (per year) Breakup - 110k USD ESOPs + 4L Joining Bonus + 75L (62 Base +15% Perf Bonus + PF & Grat)
I don’t think Atlassian will beat your current comp
What makes you say that? They are giving me a raise in the level. Also AFAIK, from what I have seen P50 comp is 1cr+ upto 1.3cr, so I am hoping I should get the offer comp in similar range.
Why is your Uber TC so low at 9 YOE?
My current manager sucks that's why. Have got the highest rating multiple times and was promised a promo L5a but the manager who promised me left and I got screwed.
hi. congratulations on your offer. how does the interview discussions like. more of leet code style or FE specific?
Extremely FE specific. Atlassian doesn't ask LC to FE devs
thanks for the info. would it be framework specific or general FE ?
Recent P50 offers have been a bit on the lower side. Expect something like 1Cr +/-10L based on your current comp. Get counter offers to negotiate higher.
Yes. I was offered 1 Cr. Unfortunately don't hold any counter offers :( Any comments / opinions on the teams mentioned above?
Edit - Added offered TC
Do they ask the payslips after you get offer or before team matching?
Seems like a shady question, but I'll answer. The recruiter has to talk to compensation committee to get an offer for you. For that they ask for payslips (as well as all other docs like docs for stocks, bonuses, appraisals etc) They do give you a hint of the range of number which the recruiter thinks you might get before going to the committee to understand your expectations as well.
They have revoked grad offers. It is likely that they will do a layoff. Also I don't feel the same culture as before. If pay increase is not significant then you can stay at Uber only.
Asked specifically about this. Reason given for revoking was realising late that the org is bottom heavy right now. So they need to hire more senior which aligns with the kind of positions open since 4-5 months. Yes, TC rise is significant along with a raise in level (L4 at Uber to P5 at Atlassian). So I am being optimistic here. Any comments on the teams I have been matched with? Any suggestions / reviews?
Both are good tbh
