Fitbit Boston

I applied online to Fitbit Boston for a Software Developer role, and a recruiter reached out to me about my application. After speaking on the phone, he said he'd give my resume to the managers and follow up within the week. It's been more than that, and I heard nothing back even after emailing him as a reminder. I assume that none of the managers were interested in having me on their team. Is that the case? If so, what are things that Fitbit software developer managers look for in candidates?

Could just be the time of the year. A lot of people are out of the office for the holidays

Given how fitbit won't survive another 2 years..the HR and the company itself should be ashamed to leave the candidate hanging.

We have enough cash to keep going at a loss for 7 years

What happens in the 8th year? You magically grow some shame?

Could be the time of year, yeah. Odds are this recruiter is not located in the Boston office, and they haven’t poked the manager for a response yet. We do try to follow up with candidates quickly. If you’re still interested let the recruiter know you’re entertaining other offers to light a fire under him. Honestly, my experience on the other side of our recruitment process isn’t great. But our dev managers are. Good luck!

Took your advice and reached out again, and it worked. Thanks!

It took them a week to respond regarding the next step after talking to the recruiter on the phone
