In all of my 6 years in the industry I’ve never experienced such fear of interviewing as I’m experiencing now. 3 years ago I’ve did 44 interviews from which I got 6 offers, after working at Expedia I did exactly 4 interviews. I failed miserably at 3 and one have been delayed and then canceled due to covid. I realized I’ve a problem in coding round, so I went back to basics, studied algorithms design manual and started LC. In the process of doing so, I realized how bad I used to be. And it became clear on why I’ve been rejected so many times, this realization made me think that I’m not ready. I did 50 LC so far, 25 easy 20 medium and 5 hard, finished algorithm design manual 1 month ago and been studying system design for the last 1 month. Why I feel Im not ready yet? 1 week ago I decided to study for another 2 months, do interviews with tier 3/2 companies or some of the companies I’m not interested in to warm up and then apply. What changed is; 2 days ago a recruiter from one of the companies I dream of joining contacted me, and now I’m in this weird place where I don’t really know what to do. If I fail this, I’ll have to wait another 6 months to reapply and if I rejected it, maybe they won’t be interested in the future. What do you think I should do ? In addition to doing mock interviews, what may help is just for you to chill... Interview anxiety is pretty common especially with someone have such a history with Interviews. Looks like you have done some good prep work. Just relax, take the next 2/3 weeks to brush up your concepts, and do the interview. You can do this!
Will there be any bad first impression if I asked for this ? Have you ever tried it ? Is it okay tbh and say that I need to prepare?
pack it up snowflake or i’ll take ur job
Which dream company?
Don’t rush into it. Take time and do your leets

Yeah it is totally fine to do so. I did not use it as I was prepping and gave interviews with other companies before facebook. But the recruiter explicitly told me to keep doing leetcode and solve 2 medium or 1 hard every round. Recruiters want you to get the offer so they have their quota filled and will help you along the way in terms of extra time needed
I think the openness of possibly interviewing is making it hard for you. Id recommend taking the recruiter call, making it clear you want time to practice and set the phone screen 6-8 weeks out. It seems like you just need a deadline to work towards. Get your study plan out and then get working on your prep.
Do the mock interviews!
Could you please elaborate? I’m not familiar with this...
