My Ig feed literally shows relevant posts based on the conversations I’m having on other messaging apps!!! Almost Instantly. Every time. Sometimes saved drafts that’s not been sent yet! Sometimes the posts in the feed shows the conversation the people we messaged are having with other people!!!
What should I learn if I want to stay competitive in the job market in a world where AI is automating everything? Are there any projects I could build that would make me more competitive? (I prefer building stuff instead of aimlessly learning random topics.) I was trying to understand the transform...Read more
Which AI company / tech would you want to work on given these choices? Leaving off OpenAI since I assume that would be everyone's first choice.
I come from a Mech background and have been in consumer electronics industry for a long time . I understand high level comp architecture and basics of SOC /GPU. But I’m not getting any interview calls at AMD, NVDA, MSFT even within Apple or other startups in working on Ai hardware . My direct experi...Read more
Where the hell do I even begin? I know Python, been a SWE for a decade, but I honestly haven’t the slightest idea which AI related fundamentals to start learning first. Would love any and all advice, thanks a ton.

So sick of AI being added to every website, web browser, search engine, IDE, operating system, sometimes you can't remove it completely you have to just turn off the feature, if the AI overlords are gracious enough to give you that option. I don't want my data being sent to participate in training ...Read more
Curious question. People in Computer Science and Software Industry are super smart. They reverse engineer stuff all the time and implement their own thing. If an nvidia h100 gpu is available for physical inspection and breakdown and the CUDA white papers are available, why don’t the smart people of ...Read more
I am a general algorithm engineer doing some algorithms. What can I do to get a job even in just general or software development for AI?
I have a BSc. in Electrical engineering with a heavy focus on ML and data topics. I have done courses in deep learning, unsupervised, reinforcement, into to ML, neural nets, big data etc... I am wondering if there will be a barrier of entry to ML/DS roles after my degree. Currently in my last semest...Read more
I’m a software engineer on recommendations and would like to use my expertise to contribute more to the humane tech movement but not sure where to start. Do any of you a) have a technical background and b) are actively involved in any ethics working groups or oversight at your company? #ai #ethics
I have been pulling my hair trying to understand how AI works. With some very basic understanding of the math behind it, I know it's all linear equations and such. Math is not the question here as I am not trying to solve math. What's really bothering me is how you teach a computer to self-learn. I ...Read more
I totally blew my shot at landing a Sr RE position, even though I thought I was pretty well prepared for it. But let me give you the beans that recruiters won't/can't spill (I won't get into the actual questions though, that won't help much). This stuff isn't easy. Don't kid yourself. Prep like cr...Read more
Hey guys, just want to learn LLM and my friend recommended me to use Mistral or llama. Just wondering what would you recommend for learning the basics and building simple applications like chatbot with proprietary data (e.g. student handbook of a school). TC 160
Say you have proprietary data in txt, pdf, doc, xls, etc, and you want to create a chatbot to learn it and summarize it for you, why dont you just download llama or Mistral or smth and write some python script to feed the data using langchain or smth? I see ppl telling me that they gotta re-train o...Read more
I don't see a reasonable usage of AI. The only closest usage is Tesla's FSD. Big data was hot until people realized they didn't have enough data to make it big. What do you think is the future of AI?
Besides the big companies like OpenAI, Anthropic, Cohere, Huggingface, what other good ones are out there? What are some bad ones you wouldn't join? #ai #Artificial Intelligence #genai #deeplearning #llm
https://www.cnbc.com/2024/06/11/apple-intelligence-apple-execs-explain-why-its-ai-is-different.html They are a hardware assembly company and far from AI tech. They just swallowed the free checks from Google. What a giant waste ! Agree?#Artificial Intelligence #ai
Since Gen AI is basically derivative of what humans could think until now plus some extra content ,the limit to current transformers based chatbots seems to be equal to human capacity to recollect content they have already seen and it it gets too repetitive we may lose interest or trust on AI.
Looking forward to learn some artificial intelligence implementation, I feel like i am being left behind with all the cool things everyone is building. I have a background in growing companies, computer science and seems like most people have an idea or are usung AI in some capacity or building in t...Read more
If God himself created angels to serve him and 1 of them fell… Then how can humans expect to create AI robots to serve them without expecting at least 1 going crazy and evil? If humans can avoid that outcome then won’t that mean humans are better than the Christian God, which is a fallacy?
