Amazon cannot be successful with its PERM filings while conducting layoffs, including citizens. That's the reason for the pause. As others have stated, it is also outsourcing more.
I hope Amazon does not stop H1B visa renewals and EAD/AP renewal sponsorship for folks awaiting AoS!!

Thousands of us are on deck and waiting for the first reasonable opportunity to jump. The rest are below deck quiet quitting/ resting and vesting/ doing the bare minimum.

PIP isn’t that responsive. Most of us have enough inertia to cruise for a year or more.
