My friend has received a job offer as a National Account Manager in the DMV area. Does anyone have a rough estimate as to how much commission a starter usually gets in Cogent? #cogentcommunications #enterprise #sales #am #ae
It’ll take roughly around over a year to actually make anything commission wise. He should be prepared to live off his base
Oh no 🙈 is it possible to exceed your target by $500 or so every month? If that is doable, how does Cogent calculate how much commission they should receive for that month
Your commission would only be paid out if the order installs, if they cancel the order before 6 months you’d have to also pay it back. Anything is possible, on average it’s difficult to make solid commission consistently. Couple guys I know have been there 5 month now only sold $300 so far. There are outliers like one I know who’s 10 months in and sold $6000, but he got lucky and took the accounts and leads of a senior member who retired.
