Hi, I have a verbal offer for a Data Engineer III role with Expedia group. Base : 180K Sign On bonus : 25K RSU: 65000$ total vested in over 4 years , 25% after 1 year and then quarterly afterwards Location : Austin, Texas Level: L Work mode : Hybrid I have 11+ years of total IT experience and I did ask if they could map to me their M level, but recruiter said that it wont be possible as they currently do not have a req for M and opening a new req will take lot of time. Also, I have been told that this is the max Base they can offer and He said he can try for a 30K sign on bonus. Could you please evaluate and let me know your thoughts. Don’t settle for expedia.. you can earn a TC of 300K easily in any other tech company
Don't settle for level L . Ask the recruiter to reach back when level M positions are open.
Lol I’m level M and my base and RSU both are less than your offer. Ask for Level M and push offer for another 20%

Pretty solid offer for L level. Max base for that position is 203k, so do with that what you will. The L I work with only got 25k RSUs over 4 years.

Also note that every year you'll be get additional RSUs and depending on the type some vest over 4 years some at end of year . So this TC will be your year 1 TC, year 2 onwards additional RSU grants and base hike kicks in.
