I have my initial phone interview with HR today for a Product Manager role. What should I expect and prepare for? #tech #PM #interview
HR? Recruiting screens are pretty basic. When you get to a hiring manager and the full loop, it varies a lot by team. If you prep for both Amazon style interviews (behavioral) and Google / Facebook (hypotheticals and design problem solving) you'll be set for most interview types. Ask the recruiter because they may be able to tell you the style of interviews
Thank you! Good to know. I have been burnt in the past thinking HR screenings were basic and turned out to be a coding test.
Not for a product manager, no. Though there will likely be an engineer on the loop and they will expect you to be able to dig into system design or troubleshooting. Good luck!
It’s a terrible company that’s not making any money. She did you a favor. Lay-offs are happening under the radar constantly. I would look to work in an industry that’s actually making money and not affected by Covid like the travel industry is if I were you.
I agree! Thanks
The world is full of beautiful and crisp articles on this. Still!
