Talk to sleep doctor. He will help diagnose properly and corrective steps towards it. Few recommendations: - Understand what’s affecting your sleep cycle - Try headspace sleep meditation (did wonders in my case) - Do you snore or have obstructive sleep apnea? If yes, your body mechanism is to wake you up because of survival instinct - do you frequently travel and your circadian rhythm is messed up. There could be N reasons. Need more background.
And eventually prescribe sleeping pills

Did you try closing your eyes again? lol just kidding. Take deep and very slow breath while focusing between your eyes . You should fall asleep within minutes. If something is going on in your mind then need something more to be done.
