The head of recruitment at Meta is planning to reduce STE roles by 80% at the end of the annual contract. For those in that situation, don't work too hard expecting to be converted to a full-time role. Only 20% of roles will be extended for 1 more year. I know, but they don’t care as they only needed them to hire fast and dispose of; Meta only cares about the stock price going up. Employees are numbers only. That’s why they never hire them back as FTs.
