US security clearance system is a joke. I know of another naturalized citizen who obtained top secret clearance within 3mos, back when there was a labor shortage. He and his wife still hold dual citizenship with parents living aboard. I'm sure the gov blindly approved numerous similar applications in the interest of clearing backlogs. More of these spy stories are bound to surface. At this point, I blame the gov more than the spies. They are asking for it. In addition, the most valuable tech is no longer weapon programs. It's AI tech, which can be weaponized. What are NVDA, OpenAI, etc doing to protect their tech against spies from within? Should AI companies employ some sort of clearance system? https://www.kron4.com/news/bay-area/san-jose-man-accused-of-stealing-nuclear-tech-secrets-for-china/
Pretty sure you mean "Naturalized" Citizen

The article mentions that "the compay's name has been redacted from court documents." Don't get me wrong, as this is pretty serious stuff and the incident should not to be laughed about, but I wouldn't be able to stop a chuckle if the company's name was "Booz Allen Hamilton" ๐
Pretty sure it's Livermore National Lab or Lockheed at South Bay
DEI strikes again! ๐คฆโโ๏ธ The USA is becoming such an embarrassment.
I don't think East Asian male benefits from DEI ๐
DEI is applicable to only one race and itโs definitely not for Asians
A maximum of 10 years? What bullshit is that. This is classic treason, and really should be punishable by death - but of course this administration would never pursue that.
