I remember Nuro was a fairly hot company only a few years ago. Lots of top talent esp. in perception engineering or whatever it is they specialize in. Now, I don't hear much about them anymore. Would you still consider them a "top" company? Currently talking with recruiter for potential jump but not sure if worth my time.
Nuro was junk from the start. They make every employee drink their koolaid about how they are "talent dense". They mostly hire fresh grads and let them design absolutely horrible software. Their founders raised money by showing that they are in a niche with no competition. And of course you can be the market leader of that tiny niche. This worked great during the free money era. Avoid.
I’ve been at Nuro for 3+. Great place to work from the point of view of people, tech and product. The only reason I might switch jobs is liquidity - I have family obligations and can be “flying on fumes” for only so many years.
Nuro is dying. Stay away from nuro.
Agreed. You’ll be joining a directionless sinking ship
Can you elaborate? Considering joining Nuro
