https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-05-03/apple-ipad-event-2024-new-ipad-pro-air-magic-keyboard-pencil-coming-may-7?embedded-checkout=true Reading about these new updates...bigger screen...OLED display...it's so boring...I think Apple hasn't had anything truly innovative going on for years... What do you think? Agree? Disagree?
Vision Pro isn’t innovative?
These Msft interns 😂 The product isn’t even launched yet and they’re making polls
Why bother waiting for the launch when a 5th grader could guess what Apple will do next? Let's face it: Since Steve Jobs died, the company has focused more on optimizing profits instead of products. This was most obvious in what happened to the Apple stores. They killed One to One, they gutted Apple Care, they introduced Apple Care + which is really only worth it if you plan on breaking your phone twice in 2 years... Final Cut Pro went from industry standard to over priced trash that can't compete with the free Davinci Resolve, they killed Aperture, Apple Mail has been broken for the last 10 years, macOS is riddled with bugs, iOS is riddled with bugs, geofencing is broken... And on and on and on...
Yeah, they should really take engineering excellence lessons from Shopify
Paywall
Apple doesn't have any new tricks left. Their answer to dropping iPhone sales was to pull a financial lever through buybacks. That says enough on how much they're innovating.
Glassdoor, what are you implying?
Lol
What true innovation did you guys do? Built openAI api integration huh!?
This is pointless what aboutism. Op is not saying msft is leader in innovation. Apple was always known for innovation hence the post
I mean the thing is.. it's a tablet, a glorified smart phone. What innovative changes do you want? At what point do you just buy a surface tablet if you want an entire desktop experience (at this point isn't an iPad basically a laptop?)
Rosetta on the ipad to run mac apps, it already runs laptop SoCs it should run laptop apps
Agreed, but that's not innovative, that just turns an iPad into a MacBook with a touch screen. If they did that they'd have to cancel a product line because it'd be pointless.
How long will buybacks save Apple ? I think it’s doomed. Don’t see any innovation at all
Idk about doomed but definitely going to decline further. Even with new product launch their ‘Wearables’ business is still declining.
That’s why MSFT > AAPL
Not as an employee
Absolutely not lol
