I just talked to a customer service rep for Fidelity Investments. She is in Florida. She sounded so relaxed and happy. I said living in California is so expensive and tense and asked if she is in Utah. She said she is in Florida and loving it. I am not even sure if she needs the money. Maybe she is married and they don't need to money really and she is just working so she has something to do (that's how she sounded like). And it maybe: she just wants to work and help people out. And I am here, thinking, I don't get paid that much (after all the expenses), and may not have enough money to retire. And I may have to work until I die. I think something is wrong here. What do you think?
Her life seems good because she doesn't use Blind
It's called a "customer service voice". It doesn't mean her life is all sunshine and rainbows.
My man thinks if the cashier asks if you'd like fries with that she is flirting.
I drive by lawncare crews all the time and think "man... these guys got it made. out in the sun, exercising, and at 5:00, they don't think about or worry about their job until they show up the next day." I'm sure there's money stress, but I wonder if it's more or less than my work stress...
Bro if you're an SDE at Apple and struggling financially and think you'll never retire, you need to re-evaluate yourself and your expenses.
how do you know I started my retirement saving early? Could it be that I didn't start until it is quite late and now think: hm... seems like I have to keep on working until I am 70 or beyond
You are assuming assuming a lot and projecting a lot. Then have come to a lot of conclusions based on those.
I visited Florida once and it was the worst experience of my life, the lowest point the humidity reached was 80% (it was usually around 90%+).
