Once the turn comes, it will make 22 look like a small celebration. Mark my words, this has all been to gut old workers and force early retirements and remove dumb/pointless positions. The turn for SWE demand will be astronomical. Bullish for employment in tech the next few years. The continued digitization of our society into a quasi technocracy will fuel demand.
I agree. Remote work will continue to remain in demand, especially as people start inching towards LCOL/MCOL areas where they can work wherever they want. Only certain companies can get away with RTO; most canāt and will have to suffer in the loss of key talent when the market shifts again. TC: 105K

Maybe, but thatāll just lead to a high turnover and perpetual brain drain that leads to positions being open. Amazon is the same way, except they actually pay okay. An employee can only do so much work for so long until they believe they can get something better somewhere else.
