Thoughts on old mission capital?

Planning to apply for the less popular finance firms. Mostly for career growth and tighter culture. Anyone know how they fare against the popular ones in terms of comp, culture and company performance? I’m an engineer, and went through some LI profiles of some engineers, wasn’t very impressed. None of them stood out. Wonder how the reputation of engineering talent is in the circles. Also, any more lesser know top companies out there anyone can share? Thanks

You sound bitter, they reject you?

This hasn't been my experience, but I'm happy to hear otherwise if you could back it up.

Comp is better than faang. 450k tc with a growing bonus (given good performance), 1-3.5 yoe. The people (both traders & eng) are smart and they know what they're talking about. There's a reasonably high bar to get in. Not a very large org, so things get done quickly and without insane oversight. More collaborative than tech firms I've been at. Culture is definitely a performance culture, but not at the cost of company culture.

450k TC at 3.5 YOE is faang pay, a bit lower actually

The vast majority of devs at faang with 3.5yoe are not getting $450k. That’s high senior level pay
