Google L5 vs Amazon L5
Have Amazon L5 (mid level offer) for 450K TC. Got Google L5 offer (senior level). Not sure what google TC is yet but recruiter mentioned matching amazon is not possible. Would you take a pay cut for Google L5? If so, how much? Any help is appreciated. TC: 310K
Iād take the google offer. Theyāre gonna be pretty close and youāre probably not gonna get to senior anytime soon at Amazon Whatās your YOE?

Google is tier 2 now hence they wont match because they can get anyone else with even low salary

I don't get one thing : Why are people willing to accept a lower level for somewhat higher pay? Doesn't a higher level ensure better growth (comp & career wise)? Like ignoring senior at G for better pay at lower level at A seems like a very short-sighted decision.
Why level matters when you get more money? If you perform well, you can get promoted to senior quickly
My L4 offer at G is higher than that. How is it possible that G won't match 450K for L5!? Try to negotiate better.
