https://www.wired.com/story/how-silicon-valley-ruined-work-culture/amp What’s your opinion on the article. I feel like its way too general and it far exaggerates the perks of most companies. It’s all so team dependent. Sometimes the culture works extremely well for both parties some times one or neither. Also i think the article makes some very harmless perks seem bad by grouping them with results at some companies due to many other factors. I also think it greatly exaggerates the “family” culture. Most places still have the feeling of professional relationships, but you dont have to avoid small talk with your coworkers. work has always resulted in friendships and hally hour trips, thats nothing new. #companyculture #wlb #worklifebalance

Just like gender, immigration status is a spectrum and I identify as a GC holder
I have all these perks but also work 10-4 most days
Where is the option for "I don't click blog links with clickbait titles"
But that’s literally the only reason to click them.
I’d tell author that no one stops him from NOT using onsite massages/slides/nap rooms/ping pong tables and continuing to treat the work as work. But at least it gives options to others.
This article has some I agree with some I don’t, and I also regret wasting my time reading the article.
I love when people bring up things like lack of eye contact on the bus, as if in their ideal world strangers on the bus are always gazing meaningfully into each other's eyes
It’s true though. The tech bus culture is awful.
“Bus culture”? It is a god damn bus. Not a lounge. I get on a bus to get from A to B not to make friends or fall in love.
