I'm in the final stage of interviewing at Fidelity Investments for a Director role and I've also cleared all the rounds for Senior Program Manager at a robotics start up. I've heard Director at banks isn't as coveted as it is in Software Engineering. Would love to hear thoughts. I also have an offer from Amazon for Program manager II but TC is so sad I'm not even bothering 😔 TC: 160k without stocks
Take whichever pays more, if pay is roughly the same then take Fidelity for the higher title and (probably) better brand recognition.
I'm a director eng in a bank. You're looking for 400-500 tc. I don't think you'll get that much at amazon as pm
Take the Director role, you will learn a lot in leadership role at a young age. That’s how you grow. No body gives that role at a very young age in MFAANG. At least fail fast and grow faster
I wish I were young 🤣. I'm 38. Started out as a tester, grew into program management
What was the offer at fidelity?
Director at Fidelity: Base 135, Shares: 200, Bonus: 30%, Sign on: whatever bonus I'm losing this year by leaving current company
What’s tc for all ?
I can't believe I forgot to pay the tax
