Somehow I feel the foodtech companies are taking this lightly as the delivery personnels have limited reach. Hence their PR remains intact. They won’t dare do something like this for other employees as their reputation is on crosshair.(Thanks to LinkedIn and glassdoor).
One shocking thing I came to know that the delivery guys are not covered labour law as they are technically not employees rather they are Delivery Partners/Valets.
To all the folks out there even if you can’t tip them everytime,make sure to offer a glass of water and a bit a respect. Gratitude goes a long way 🙏🏻
