Which do you prefer?
Would you prefer to live under Russian or Chinese occupation?
Uff, if you knew anything about Poland, you'd know how such a comment would trigger them. Poles (like most of Eastern Europe) absolutely HATE & DESPISE Russia and everything it stands for. If Russia ever attacked Poland, I might even feel sorry for the Russians (not likely).
It’s a joke pal. Taiwanese also hate and despise the Chinese
Poland is like any other EU country but with its own language and lower TC. Rest feels the same. Taiwan is different
Poland, you got every European country a train ride away. I had the opportunity to work for 3 years in Berlin and I traveled a lot: Spain Italy, France, Poland, Czech Republic. It was fun.
Oooooof
Pro Poland: * You're in the middle of Europe (great access to all sorts of cultures, countries and histories) * Things have improved a lot in Poland in the past 20 years. People are generally optimistic (as much as Slavs can be). Con: * The language is....something * The weather is...mixed * Ambitious Poles love emmigrating * Not very diverse landscape (mostly flat, open land) Taiwan: Pro: * Completely new culture * Diverse food * Pleasent climate (maybe even too hot & humid) * Beautiful destinations within a few hours flight Con: * Travel issues with China & Taiwan (possibly?) * Climate might be exhausting * You're on an island and can't visit anywhere in less than 3 hours flight
if you are a male of primarily european descent, you would be a god in taiwan.
Labour law in Taiwan is… bad. European protections are better. Easier to get on a property ladder - no bank will lend you money in Taiwan. Check your contract. No pension for foreigner in TW (at least for first Five years), no unemployment benefits either. Cannot have dual citizenship. Shit passport. No exit from google locally in TW since no one offers similar money, and if they do then they ask for 996 work schedule. Poland / EU blue card is a straightforward path.
What position?
