Those asking why didn’t Google invent it first - why would Google release their version if it’s going to affect their search business? Those saying Google is not inventing as much as openAI : chatGPT is based on Transformer architecture which was invented at Google. Google also has models similar to chatGPT like Lambda and Duplex, but haven’t released to public. Google can create a better version of ChatGPT in the future by constantly updating it with the latest web pages, as they also have expertise on the web.

What REALLY matters is chatGPT is open to public and Google models are not. What's use of a Bugatti if it's just going to sit in the garage.
I can go online and tell people about my Bugatti. That's as good as riding that shit through IronForge.
