Has anyone worked with an agent from intero to buy a house? They seem to have very good reviews. And has anyone used their mortgage services for taking the loan? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks! PS- looking to buying in and around Mountain View/ Cupertino/ North San Jose.
Don't get an agent. They will rush you. At the end I felt that they did more harm than good.
I see. I think agents can help us think. As a first time buyer, it is hard to know what to buy. I can totally understand that they can rush u and in fact u might end up buying something different from what u wanted. But a good agent could help avoid that. Would love to know more about ur experience though.
Trust your judgement. No one knows about your needs better than you do. I spoke with one agent and thought she was nice and had integrity. But she never did as much research as I did. I guess that works for some people but not for detail oriented engineers. In the end I found the home we bought. The commute is long but she said you just get used to it. The reality is that you don't. Then she made me bid $30-50k more than the market because she has anxiety issues herself. Moreover, they will constantly bombard you with how fast the market is moving and you feel a lot of pressure to just get something. These are all things that you don't know as a first time buyer. You think you need an agent because of inexperience but that is precisely what they exploit to their advantage.
Where are you buying? Pick an agent who is knowledgeable in the surroundings you are looking to buy.
I know they are hated by all real estate agents but I had an excellent experience with Redfin
Worked with an Intero agent. It was the best decision I made. After working with 2 agents before, we narrowed down to this lady at Intero. In this hot market, we were able to buy a 3 bedroom condo in 8+ school district in Peninsula under 1M. Its all coz of her hard efforts and negotiation skills. PM me and I can send her contact details.
Used an Intero agent, pretty good. Depends on the area though, my agent was in South Bay/peninsula and very highly recommend her
Do you mind sharing her name? And did u used their lending services for loan or did u go through a bank? Thanks in advance.
Sent you a PM
