Can I afford a new car? I was lucky enough to buy a condo in late 2022 when rates were still lowish (mortgage @ 3.5%). I’d like to buy a new Tesla Model 3 performance for ~55k since I’ve always owned used cars in the past. Current car is on its last legs and will need to replace it within the next 6-12m. TC: 245k NW: 1.5M (excluding mortgage liability)
People like you are insufferable 😂
Honestly…I’ve been feeling pretty vulnerable from a financial perspective. I had more than 2x my current NW last year, but due to some bad moves in the market I lost 1.5M. My head definitely isn’t screwed on right at the moment and I’m just trying to figure out if I’m doing this right.
wtf are you doing in the market to lose half your NW? This market has been insanely good for investors.
You should of just gotten a model Y performance last month With the .99 financing it's only $750 a month
Not worth it. Current Model Y is going to depreciate significantly once the Juniper refresh comes to market in early 2025. the suspension and interior upgrades make the refresh much better than the current generation
OP lol, if u got this many reasons not to buy something, just go with ur gut and buy whatever will make u happy without stressing about the money. Or if ur actually looking for good financial advice even tho ur a millionaire, buy another used Camry that’s gonna last u 20 years and not cost more than an Apple Vision Pro
I’m buying a much more expensive car with similar Nw and 375k TC. 5+ years of driving a clunker and feel I deserve to live a little
You can’t afford it until u have 1mil TC, stick with ur old car
😭
