Switch to genai based roles?

#Currently working on classical NLP based usecase with some usage of bert family models. Given the current landscape, should I switch to company where there is some direct use of llm or multimodal models? I do understand that most of the companies just use basic hugging face. My concern is that if I stay in current role for 2 more years it will be harder to shift as no one will find my experience relevant.
