TikTok Mountain View Office
Hi, I'd love to know what it's like working at Tiktok (specifically the MV office). I've read everything I can find on Blind (996, no WLB, ccp, etc), but curious to hear from folks who work at the MV office. Appreciate insights on the RTO situation, in-office perks and benefits, WLB, career growth, work environment, office-infra, etc. Edit: Please keep the communications respectful. Not Mountain View but have insights on RTO. Starts July 11, 2-3 days per week. 3 days required if GBS. Will have 2x meals per day beginning 7/5. WLB seems highly dependent on team. Product teams seem to have it the worst because of time differences and working with teams in Beijing. However not 996 from anyone I’ve spoken to.
What’s GBS?
Would it be disadvantageous if I don’t speak Chinese?

I’m in engineering, no one I know of works 996. Performance reviews can be tough tho

I am active no more than 40 hours a week, but I'm almost always available when pinged. It's just that I don't get pinged often, nor do I need to spend a lot of time when pinged. I know this isn't great, but it's not too bad for me.
