What’s the deal with companies making you write an essay just to apply
Tell us why you want to work for us In detail, explain one of your most recent projects What do you see yourself doing in 5 years It’s ridiculous, I just know some poor sap is going to spend an hour perfecting their answers just for the ATS to reject their resume and no human to actually read their answers Tc: 80k
Avoid applying to such companies. They treat your time for granted
They wanna see your handwriting?
Writing skills matter for some jobs?
Even worse is recruiters sending questions for you to answer. Recent experiences: Synchrony, GSK, Metlife, AIG. These are for very experienced roles😂
I’m still thinking about that 4-page “writing exercise” I wrote for my Amazon interview that I’m pretty sure never got read.
Just use gpt-3 and generate an essay.
Definitely not doing any work without compensation anymore. Glad some companies are nixing the take home design exercise.
Write a script, add the company name and switch up a couple words to fit, problem solved. It sucks, but not everyone is gainfully employed so you have to play the game sometimes.
