Everything I’ve worked on is some kind of shitty, bland app. I can think of any innovative companies, either. What happened to companies like Bell Labs, Xerox, IBM, etc.? They actually innovated in their day. All I see now is shitty apps and stuff we don’t need TC 350
Well we’re apparently likening the rise of generative AI to the birth of the internet.
Yes, that’s exciting. But has anything come out that isn’t dumb? Take a look at this gem. This isn’t trolling
MBAs arrived and started focusing on the next quarter. Innovation requires time, resources and a long term vision.
The young innovators are over-leveraged and nervous wrecks because they bought things with Affirm.
Innovation is directly correlated with scrappy and hungry businesses led by people of the same mindset. You'll either need to be part of a dedicated r&d group at a well capitalized company, working in open source, or doing a startup. Most everything else is too focused on revenue and doesn't want to rock the boat.
Innovation today means how can we take even more from the poor working class just trying to survive and give it to the rich owning class that have never worked a day in their life? There's innovation all around you!
Giant corps don't do innovative research anymore. They fund independent labs to do it.
Focus Shifted from hitting KPIs, making profits for shareholders, delivering value to customers and innovating to diversity, climate and other bullshit that doesn’t produce value
Don't know where you work, but everything not related to money and profit is just for show
Maybe you should start by letting us know what is it that _you_ actually need. Or at least what is it that you think others need.
Alot of Innovation in greenTech
Never heard of it
Okay, boomer
These companies are older than boomers. Try again, Zoomer
