Which offer to pick?

Hi folks, I recent got 3 offers, hesitating on the decision making: Stripe SDE II (SF): 190K base | 50K stock | 10% target bonus (259K / yr) not negotiable. Circle SDE II (Remote): 160K base | 75K stock | 10% target bonus + 15K sign on (251K / yr) still negotiating Stubhub SDE II (LA/NY): Around 300K in total (180K cash) still negotiating They are all private companies, Circle and Stubhub mention they plan to IPO soon but not sure it is trustworthy. I am on H-1B with 5 years left. Stripe and Circle guarantee day-1 GC. Stubhub says will discuss GC process after 6 months. In this case, which one do you guys recommend? Or do you think there is any room to raise Circle or Stubhub TC? Any thoughts and suggestions help! Thank you Current TC: 160K, 3 YOE in South Cal

Stripe is not negotiable? Idk how much they changed their comp but surely they should be able to give more stock?

yeah Stripe was initially providing 170K base and recruiter says stock cannot be changed, the only place to increase the TC is the base salary.

Stripe stock can cash out

Just to be clear, are those equity numbers how much will vest every year or the total grant amount? I would say Stripe but idk if I would move back to SF from SoCal. Been there, done that, SF is sketchy, the rest of the bay is a big, boring office park suburb.

Stock number is every year. Moving to SF also means increasing in the living cost. So I would say the actual money after tax - living cost should be similar. Just not sure whether Stripe or Circle has a better career growth.

Depending on where you are now, you might find that the COL difference isn't as much as you might expect. If you are renting and don't have childcare to worry about, I actually find San Diego more expensive than SF was.

Stripe can get you a first tier brand in your resume during early career, plus they have good talents to learn from, just the culture is kind of shitty

How long were you interviewing for? Happy to see some non faangs getting offers in this environment

WarnerMedia WdVK45 OP 3d

Roughly 2 months. I think the market is slightly better than 2023.
