Amazon L5 to Coinbase IC4
I had a new grad offer rescinded from Coinbase back in 2022 and ended up at Amazon. I promoted to L5 (at 10 months) and have been at this role for a year. I do believe I can get L6 at Amazon in another 2 years before my 5 year anniversary (a reason to stay). Personally I donāt enjoy RTO all that much. WFH is the perfect environment for me and probably why I had such high performance as a new grad. Is it common for ~2 YoE to get IC4? Would I have a better chance since I already passed Coinbase interview once? Would recruiters be able to see my interview history? I was told I was strong hire in both rounds.
I had 2 YOE and got an ic4 cb offer. Think it starts there

I recently got an IC4 offer at Coinbase. YOE < 3 and currently an L5. got promoted at Amazon in 1 year. Coinbase TC is not up to par with Amazonās especially once you factor in stock growth. Also coinbase stock super volatile
Coinbase TC is not higher for mid level? It was a good 30k higher for new grad.
IC4 Coinbase TC is 260k. They donāt really negotiate either. L5 Amazon TC is around 290k per levels.fyi and with stock growth my current TC is greater than 300k
