How can there be such a big difference between offers at the same location for the same level? I read on blind that FB max E5 offer is 214k base + 700k equity + sign on. But Levels.fyi data shows otherwise. 5 YOE, 290k
It depends on if you have competing offers and how well you did in your interview. If you have no competition then they will offer a standard package. You can push that higher if your skills are very niche like ML or AI and you manage to get Director approvals for more RSU or sign on. Google doesn't compete for talent like this anymore.
I have competing offers but either am not really interested in them or they are low.
If they are low then that's not really competition right? You don't have to be interested in the other jobs, you just need to use them as leverage to push up the other offers. Tell everyone that you have competing offers, extract the maximum possible value out of everyone. Be prepared to play hard and to walk away if they won't meet your expectations. No risk, no reward.
If you have specialized skills with strong competing or track records it's possible. But they are rare
No these are off. Maybe counting stock appreciation. You have the right numbers
I think 205 is max for E5 base (MPK), 700 max for RSU. 15% bonus target, not sure about sign-on.
Numbers which OP mentioned are right. It's 214k/700k/100k Signon/15% bonus target
E5 bonus is 15%. 10% is for E4.
These not offers, but compensations, right? These could be all over the place due to refreshers and stock growth
No, these are actual offers according to Levels.fyi.
