I’m currently an AE at a company that has a great external reputation and is a highly desirable employer but has a terrible sales org. I’ve done really well and built a great track record but I just don’t think I can handle the chaos in 2024. Best performers ceilings are pretty low and require a combo of luck (book you get) and insanely hard work. Some of the best work and highest comp of my career was at companies in the series C/D stage. Where I’m at now is IPO equivalent and the comp sucks and sales resources/processes are abysmal. I’m searching for the best up and coming companies poised to do well despite economic headwinds, good leadership, culture, etc. OR what’s the best bigco sales org right now where there’s still plenty of room to grow and juice to squeeze? I have good experience in infrastructure sales and SaaS so the OpenAI or Anthropic route is open to me and I can get referrals there. What other great opportunities are out there?
