I am going to get serious about self-driven investments for the purpose of capital appreciation. Typically 1-yr+ positions for capital gains reasons. I've historically used Robinhood, which has been okay, but for the crashes and lockups on stocks like GME/AMC or whatever. Considering opening a Schwab account, but will never use anything Fidelity because of bad experiences on the retirement savings side. Do people like something more than RH? #personalfinance #investments
I work for Schwab. Trust me Robinhood is the best. In the order 1. RH 2. Schwab/TD Ameritrade 3. Fidelity 4. Interactive Brokers 5. WeBull junk
That's a statement I was not expecting from someone who works at another broker.
IB is the best for the volume traders and advanced users.
tos
This is the gold standard, esp for options.
WeBull ?
Gme/amc is meme bullshit. If you are serious about long term investments, rh is fine. I use schwab, rh and merril edge (in the order of preference), but they all have cons and pros
How do people not use Interactive Brokers? There's nothing better.
IB is only good for margin loan rates. Their UI sucks
one of the worst product to use
Ally
I voted other - TD Ameritrade has the best tools if you are serious about trading.
For long term investment why would a trading app matter? You wouldn’t be trading a lot right. GME/AMC was a one-off issue. RH is still miles ahead compared to others. Sofi isn’t bad too
That's a fair point, but given the volatility in the market, I'd like to be able to panic sell from time to time ;)
RH should do the job
Vanguard, has 7 trillion AUM
