I'm currently in the pre-hiring Committee (HC) and in team matching phase with Google. My recruiter is very careful to not mislead me believing I'm getting an offer for sure. In fact, he makes it clear my interview feedback in total was mixed and getting a solid team match will go a long way in my case with the HC. From what others have shared I seem to be lucky that there are teams constantly showing interest and wanting to meet, and each hiring manager makes it clear they are confident with my interview performance and it would not be a concern. Having said that, I've met with a few teams already and ongoing. Is team match but failing at hiring committee a regular occurrence?
I did team matching prior to HC. Worked out for me 🙂.
Could you share if you smashed the interviews or were also mixed feedback?
I was told "mostly positive". I believe I had one round that was borderline.
OP, have you passed HC?
OP, Did you pass hc?
Not sure if process has changed but given feedback was mixed, recruiter is doing team matching before HC to improve your chances of hire. This usually happens when candidates are borderline hire/no hire. Also I’m not sure what you mean by your recruiter thinks you’re getting an offer but your feedback is mixed? If feedback is mixed between hire/no hire chances are low. If feedback is between leaning hire/hire/strong hire chances are high. Can you clarify?
He doesn't want to mislead me in thinking I'm comfortably getting an offer. So things are lining up. Thanks for the tip, I should move on with my life.
I’m pretty sure they do team match before HC now. My recruiter mentioned it too
