My nephew from India is interested to come to USA for his graduation. He is planning to do major in Computer Science. This is his application status.. (AS: Annual Scholarship, COA: Cost of Attendance of 1 year) Acceptance: University of Massachusetts- Amherst (AS: 16k, COA: 42k) University of California Irvine (COA: 72k) Michigan State University (AS: 25k, COA: 35k) Ohio State University Arizona State University (AS: 7.5k) University of Illinois Chicago He is not a US citizen. I need help with the recommendations for these schools. What is best fit for him in terms of ratings /internship/value/cost. Thankyou !
Majoring in cs here in ungergrad for those prices is a scam. Just come for a masters later if you want. You likely will not be able to stay in the US after the 3 yrs of OPT. Out of those schools, umass amherst is probably the best socially for international students and has the best cs program.
Kid is not listening :( Family has lived in USA and UK for few years when he was young and now he just doesn’t wish to stay in India anymore!
NO if you are from uscis backlogged countries.
I thought people visit for sibling's graduation. Also people visit for education. I never knew that people could visit for just graduation. Very interesting
Hha I think it’s a typo.
72k for out of state at Irvine? Seriously?
Out of state prices are ridiculous across schools. I didn't realize people started planning for resident prices and grants early in high school until after I started college. Though it managed to work itself out for me regardless.
Hands down UCI or UMass Amherst! Based on cost, Amherst is a good option.
Absolute waste of money. There is nothing special these schools vs good colleges in India.
Are u fr? 😒
OSU smokes everything on here. ASU is great too. Both are located in cheap but amazing cities and the schools are top notch. OSU is very hard to get into.
Michigan! Most bang for buck, and school is rated very high.
Amazon - Michigan State or UMich?
