I think I am fucked? What to do next?
Hello, Blind community! I’m currently based in India and have an approved I-140 (EB2 category). I’m contemplating whether to directly apply and interview for roles in the USA from here. My goal is to secure a position that would support my relocation and transition under the EB2 visa category. Here are a few points I’m considering and would love your insights on: 1. Market Acceptance: How open are US companies to interviewing candidates from India for roles that require relocation, especially in the tech/engineering sectors? 2. Visa Sponsorship: Given my approved I-140, what are the chances that companies would be willing to sponsor my visa or support the transition? Are there any specific industries or companies known to be more accommodating in this regard? 3. Interviewing from Abroad: For those who have gone through this process, what challenges did you face interviewing from India for US roles? Any tips on navigating time zone differences, virtual interviewing, and showcasing your suitability for the role despite the geographical distance? 4. Relocation Support: How common is it for companies to offer relocation support in these cases? Are there any negotiation tips to ensure this is covered? I’m seeking advice, experiences, and any recommendations you might have. If you’ve been in a similar situation or have insights into hiring practices for international candidates, I’d greatly appreciate your input. Thank you in advance for your help! Have you always been in India ? Or came back and planning to go again?
I can talk about the workarounds, if you can refer me to NIke. DM me.
