Newbie - Advice

One day old to blind. Reading thru the posts/salary ranges in the big cities is making me nervous, rethink my position after 13 years yoe. Didn’t look around for a while, due to young children. Located in Tampa, Florida . Work life balance is great, biweekly on-site model, i pretty much designed the whole reporting system, pretty comfortable with out challenges in day to day work. Base :115k Bonus: 10% 401k - 3% match Medical , dental , vision TC may be 140k That’s it with architect knowledge in DWH, SAP BW/BI, Reporting, BOBJ areas, data analysis . Finance, Logistics, purchasing, sales, forecast - functional/business knowledge. Hard working, get things done attitude, good at designing ETL/data analysis and delivering reports, supporting business. Doesn’t enjoy coding but if I have to will do it. What are my options ? How do I get my $ improved. Partner is in IT with TC : 130k. Thanks in advance .

first piece of advice. dont listen to blind... if u are happy at ur work and content with your life that's sufficient.. grass on otherside looks greener .. dont join the rat race unless necessary because there is always a cost associated with it either (mental , physical , social , family , etc)

Not happy in the current company due to compensation for a while , Colleague’s with 40% my skill make $20k more . Asked for a raise, their attitude is if not happy then you can leave - not ready to negotiate or recognize my achievements in the company (pretty much built the 100+ reports , Support systems with minimal business disruption every day). Still with company only for work life balance .

Look for jobs that pay good salary, tailor your resume to fit their job description, ask for referrals / apply, interview prep, until you find a better job. If you want to stay in Tampa, probably look for remote positions, theres a ton right now.
