Biden is a crappy debater
Recently had the worst recruitng process with Fidelity Investment. I interviewed with the Anti Money Laundering team for a data scientist position. Went through HM interview (30 mins), technical round 1 (45mins, resume), technical round 2 (45mins, leetcode coding), technical round 3 (45mins, data challenge), and a final behavioral interview (30 mins). It was okay up to this point, except they said round 3 was going to be a take-home challenge and then switched to a live "data challenge" interview. Now the nighmare begins. 2 days after the final round of interview, the recruiter reached out saying "there's definitely interest" and asked for immigration documents. Then no communication what so ever for 3 weeks. I followed up via email weekly but only got a response after the third email that they are "still working on the immigration piece and hope to get a final result by the end of the week". Then no communication again for another 4 weeks. I followed up with another email and was told the team has selected another candidate. I emailed back the recruiter with the following: βI did enjoy meeting with the manager and the team. However, I have to say that this is the worst recruiting process I have ever gone through. I had FIVE rounds of interviews and provided the immigration documents as requested, but I received no communications (excepβββββββββββββββββt one email from you saying you're still working on the "immigration piece" and today's email) for two months. It is a shame that anyone has to go through this. You failed to pay basic respect for a candidate's time and effort in going through the long interview process. I am deeply disappointed with the AML team and Fidelity. β I used to have high regards for Fidelity, but this recruiting process has completely ruined my respect for them. That's how they trick us to delay the result while they interview others. You don't have to offend yourselves. Nor you should have sent them an "hot" email. If you have multiple offers and chose to move with other company than Fidelity? Will recruiter send you the same email? Relax, thank them and move on. Don't burn your bridges.
I agree. In retrospect, I probably should've just moved on. I did thank them but at that moment I also wanted to protest their treatment to me. I think I'll just say "thank you, next" next time lol. Thanks for the reply!
